That’s a good question…Well remember the checker cabs?? I’m sure after they were gone (and the Crown Victorias and Nissans started showing up) new yorkers were worried about the same thing. But ny is still ny so I think it will be okay
As long as they’re yellow!!

We survived the death of the Checker Marathon (the last real cabs). I won’t miss the Crown Vics.

Gee, I’m old enough to remember the Checker Cabs! I miss them a whole lot more than I’ll miss the current taxis.

No.
New York is constantly changing. If New York didn’t feel less like New York when parasitic developers put up dozens of identical, poorly made buildings all over town, a few ugly cars on the streets won’t change much.
SUVs?!? Well, that won’t be too much different. Idiot yuppies (normally with anatomical compensation issues) have been clogging our street with their SUVs for years.
